Cricket Mania on Twitterverse

Twitter has 1.4 million users in India, the third largest after Germany and the US. Twitter has already become the third most popular social networking site in India, after Orkut and Facebook.
With Indians storming twitter how can cricket stay behind. Cricket is soon making its presence felt on twitterverse, it all started during the Ashes 2009 when #Ashes was a part of
trending topics almost everyday of an Ashes test match. During the Ashes Ricky ponting, Andrew Flintoff and collingwood all made it to Trends.
Talking about Indian cricket, #IPL (During its 2nd season) was Probably the first topic to make it to Trending topics list.
In the past few days not one or two but three Indian cricketers have made it to the trending topics of Twitter.

Not only his century but the completion of 11,000 test runs and the rate at which he scored the runs was what earned him a spot in the prestigious trends.

#Sehwag :Sehwag today made it to trending topics of twitter after he scored the Fastest double
century in the test match History against Sri Lanka. He rewrote how test cricket is played,
with a strike rate of over 100 he scored 284 from 239 balls.His unbeaten innings of pure
entertainment keeps him on the verge of becoming the first person ever to score three triple-centuries.
